About our People

Owner-operator Sean Tunney founded Lazy Weekends in 2000 in Edenton-Chowan County, North Carolina. In just eight years, he has expanded the business from a home-based lawn-care operation to a full-service maintenance, installation and design business serving clients in eight counties.

“We provide quality service, performed efficiently and on time,” says Sean. “We’re confident in our standard of work and as a result we guarantee everything.”

Sean is a member of the Edenton Rotary Club, sits on the vestry of his church, and coaches Little League and Coach Pitch. Formerly in agriculture, he came to Edenton from the African country of Zimbabwe in 1997.

Jason Potts, co-owner and landscape installation manager, has been working in landscaping for 10 years. He joined Lazy Weekends in 2006 and is a lifelong Edenton resident. Jason enjoys spending time outdoors even when he’s not working – hunting, fishing and boating.

Bill Tunney heads our landscape maintenance department. He also spent many years in agriculture in Zimbabwe. He and his wife Angela moved to the U.S. in 2005.

Pam Lowney joined Lazy Weekends in 2008. She serves as landscape designer and marketing manager.
